Hello Darlings! Where will you be next summer? I couldn’t possibly answer that question myself, as I don’t even know where I will be in 2 months time, but wherever I am, I do hope that I will be able to pay a visit to the British Museum in London.

En effet, à partir du mois de juin 2010, il y aura une exposition exceptionnelle à The British Museum, Londres. Des dessins datant de la renaissance vont être exposés pour la première fois depuis très très longtemps. Ces œuvres font partie des archives du British Museum, et sont tellement fragiles qu’elles ne sont exposées qu’une fois par génération. Cette exposition se fera en partenariat avec le Uffizi à Florence. La moitié des œuvres qui vont être exposées viendront donc de Florence. Il y aura des même dessins qui n’ont jamais été exposés en Grande Bretagne auparavant. Nous aurons donc le plaisir de dévorer des œuvres de Leonardo, Botticelli, Filippo Lippi, Mantegna, Michelangelo et Raphael pour en nommer certains. Next summer, we will have a chance to see The British Museum’s collection of Italian Renaissance drawings. The masterpieces are so fragile that they are only exhibited once in a generation. The exhibition will be launched in partnership with the Uffizi in Florence. Therefore, almost half of the works will come from Florence, and some have never been shown in the UK before. Drawings from artists such as Leonardo, Botticelli, Filippo Lippi, Mantegna, Michelangelo and Raphael will make up the exhibition. Here is a little preview of what will be in store:
